| 内容記述 | 本稿では、まず神戸芸術工科大学における英語科目について、2015年度に改訂された現行カリキュラム並びに2019年度導入予定の新カリキュラムについて概観した。 続いて新カリキュラム導入に先駆けて行った取り組みである「英語セミナー」「合同オリエンテーション」について、その概要を報告すると共に、学生へのアンケート結果に基づき、その実施が学生に与えた効果等について考察した。 入学直後の合同オリエンテーションで、学生たちに英語を学ぶ意義を考えさせ、様々な英語学習方法を紹介することで刺激を与えることは、学生がより能動的に学習する意欲を高めるためのアクティブラーニング志向の取り組みであり、新カリキュラム導入以後も継続していくべきとの結論を得た。 |

| 内容記述 | First, in this paper, the present curriculum revised in 2015 and the new curriculum to be introduced in 2019 are reviewed. Then the content of “English Seminar” and “Orientation with all the English classes combined,” as the attempt prior to introduction of the new curriculum, is reported. At the same time, based on the results of the questionnaire conducted to the students, the effects of those events are analyzed. In conclusion, to have freshmen consider the significance of learning English and introduce various learning methods to them in Orientation determined if they were stimulated and motivated to study English more positively. We believe this is part of active learning and should be conducted even after the new curriculum is introduced. |
